NOW ACCEPTING MOSAIC 60 EDITORS

Greetings, friends!

The time is approaching for us to begin looking for Mosaic staff members for the 2020-21 year. If you will be a UCR student in the coming year, and you are interested in gaining experience in writing and editing, please submit an application to be a part of the Mosaic team!

As an editor, either of prose, poetry, or artwork, responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Reading and analyzing all submissions to the journal in a specific genre
  • Attending weekly meetings to discuss and make decisions about these submissions
  • Line editing works of poetry and fiction
  • Participating in arts outreach events through the Gluck Fellows Program of the Arts

We encourage you to apply, but remember that this is a commitment of time and effort, and you must be willing to put in both the time and the effort to be a part of the Mosaic team. That said, it’s also a tremendous amount of fun, and not only does it look great on a resume, but it’s a great way to participate in UCR’s community of writers!

Editors are eligible to submit to the magazine, but are not guaranteed publication.

We have up to 3 spots open on the prose team, and up to 4 on the poetry team. If you are interested in being in charge of the visual art for Mosaic 60, feel free to submit an application as well!

Remember, the application includes a writing/art sample! Send us your best work!

If you have any questions, or if you just want more information and would like to set up a meeting with one of our current editors, feel free to email us at ucr.mosaic@gmail.com.

The deadline to apply is May 29th, at 11:59 pm.
